Capitão Thomaz was the first beachfront guesthouse in Jericoacoara. The guesthouse began in 1991 with the arrival of its owner, Dr. Benjamim Farias. The adventurous doctor from Santa Catarina discovered the village of Jericoacoara during a motorcycle trip from Santa Catarina to Ceará. Captivated by the area's beauty and hospitality, he began building his house, which later became a guesthouse. Now one of the largest guesthouses in Jeri, Capitão Thomaz features a spacious and beautiful flower-filled garden, comfortable rustic-style accommodations, adult and children’s pools, a massage area, beachfront restaurant, Wi-Fi in both indoor and outdoor areas, and 24-hour monitoring. Unlike the few other beachfront guesthouses in Jericoacoara, Capitão Thomaz is located very close to the sea—during high tide, only a few steps are needed to reach the water. It’s the perfect location for watersports enthusiasts. Currently, we offer 71 apartments, divided into 12 categories to better serve your needs. All apartments are equipped with air conditioning, TV, minibar, hot shower, safe, and a balcony with a hammock. Additionally, the guesthouse is one of the few in Jeri to have a fully automated 180 KVA power generator, which supplies all rooms, common areas, and our Sol Restaurant.
